HONNA, History Museum
Co-hosting Special Event for Old Northeast Residents

The Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association and the St. Petersburg Museum of History are teaming up for an exclusive event, “Old Northeast Night at the Museum,” Friday, August 18, 6:30-8 pm. Attendees will enjoy complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while Museum Executive Director Rui Farias will give an overview of the city and our historic neighborhood. He promises to divulge fun facts about its development and the people who helped create the city’s first planned neighborhood.

In addition, Rui will provide guided tours of the museum and it’s two special exhibits, Civil Rights in the Sunshine State and Meddling: The Women Who Built St. Pete. Archivist Jessy Breckenridge will explain how residents can access the museum’s vast collection of archival photos and information about their Old Northeast homes.

“The Old Northeast is a very unique and very historic St. Pete neighborhood,” said Rui. “We’re excited to be hosting this event with HONNA, and we look forward to a fun and enlightening evening for Old Northeast residents.”
