Other than the above average temperatures, the hundreds of guests who ventured into the Old Northeast for the April 15 Art in the Garden Tour had few complaints and many kudos for the inaugural event.

The 1920’s saw a major housing boom in St. Petersburg. The Historic Old Northeast was no exception and many homes in our neighborhood recently turned 100 years young. Many more homes will be reaching this milestone in the coming years and the Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association (HONNA) wants to mark these centennial homes with a new banner.
Any given day it’s not unusual to see something on NextDoor about the latest coyote sighting. That’s because coyotes are residents of every county in Florida and they are here to stay according to Pinellas County Animal Services Director Doug Brightwell.

It wouldn’t be the holiday season in the Old Northeast without the annual HONNA members party at the Old Northeast Tavern, 7th Avenue NE and 2nd Street NE.
